Sandalwood and Geranium Shampoo for Fragile Hair is exactly that - A protein enriched shampoo base derived from coconut and olive oils, with vegetable proteins, pro-vitamins and conditioning agents to gently cleanse fragile, chemically treated, coloured or permed hair.
Organic herbal extracts of Irish Moss, Chamomile and Nettle help smooth and strengthen the hair shaft and calm dry or irritated scalps. The gorgeous essential oils of Sandalwood, Rose Geranium and Frankincense further enhance the cleansing, strengthening effects and smell fanastic.
Like all the Toria Pilar shampoos, Sandalwood and Geranium is a little thinner than most conventional shampoos; commercial shampoos have salt added to thicken the detergents (this is a simple chemical effect - you can try it yourself by adding a strong salt solution to a small amount of Toria Pilar shampoo). We do not add salt because there is compelling evidence that it irritates and dries the scalp. This does not effect the efficacy of the product and you shouldn't need more than a teaspoon or so to effectively wash even the thickest hair.
