Lemon and Rosemary Shampoo is specially formulated to encourage new hair growth. It is based on the Toria Pilar protein enriched, coconut and olive oil derived shampoo base enhanced with vegetable proteins, pro-vitamins and appropriate conditioning agents.
Lemon and Rosemary Shampoo contains extracts of organic Nettles, Horsetail and Yarrow to gently nourish and stimulate the scalp, and an algal extract that has been clinically proven to increase hair growth rate and density. If you have experienced hair loss after pregnancy, illness, certain medications, dietary problems or stress, then this is a great shampoo to help your hair recover, however it will not be effective for male pattern baldness (sorry guys, wish I could help - I'd be worth millions!)
Like all the Toria Pilar shampoos, Lemon and Rosemary is a little thinner than most conventional shampoos; commercial shampoos have salt added to thicken the detergents (this is a simple chemical effect - you can try it yourself by adding a strong salt solution to a small amount of Toria Pilar shampoo). We do not add salt because there is compelling evidence that it irritates and dries the scalp. This does not effect the efficacy of the product and you shouldn't need more than a teaspoon or so to effectively wash even the thickest hair.
